Children are A Gift continued

Any parent of multiples will be happy to tell you in great details the challenges of day to day life with two babies. In fact, the most common question I got by well meaning strangers was, " Is it hard having twins?". There were times when I questioned my ability to take care of these two pint sized strangers. The parenting books cannot begin to show you how hard it is to deal with two screaming babies when you are running of four hours of interrupted sleep. It was always at times like these that I am reminded of people like my former coworker. People who don't get pregnant so easily, who would give anything to feel the gift of life growing inside of her. We as parents, too easily forget that our children are a gift that many are denied. It is easier to see this now that my twins are older and more independent and not constantly demanding. I am able to step back and truly enjoy my three little blessings.
